Midnight Sun

A couple of shots from our cabin in Hellissandur.
First we have sunset, somewhere around 12:30 am. We’d just gotten back from a late night hike around a volcano crater ridge.
Then we have sunrise a couple hours later after 2:00 am, the sun moves just a bit to the north on the horizon as it briefly dips down. This was with the help of an alarm… not having any trouble at all sleeping due to the light.
Really gives the whole “sun revolves around the Earth theory” a run for it’s money.
