Thank you’s

It takes a lot for a trip like this to happen, so there are a few people we want to thank:Alex and Kyle, for taking great care of our house and our aging, quirky dogs. We knew they were in great hands and could not have done this trip without you.

Ed and Linda (Liz’s parents), for taking good care of Basal, our cockatiel.  Honestly he’s in a better place with you guys anyway because he gets so much positive attention. We’re really looking forward to getting him back…. really.

Our friend Dave Branson in Genoa, Italy, who graciously housed us for a few nights bookending our time in Cinque Terre. We saw a charming, working neighborhood in Genoa and had some of the best cheese of our lives. The wine and company was great too. May your knee continue to improve!

Thank’s again mom (Lianne) for getting us darn close to O’Hare and picking us up again.

Thank you to my “cousin” Rachel and our new friends Dimitri and Jake for letting us invade their home in Voula, Greece Hellenic Republic. It wasn’t just the lodging and the air conditioning, but also driving us all over Attica for several days, taking us to the best Greek Taverna’s and also cooking great food. We also appreciated being sent out to find our own way on Hydra, which we realize was probably as much for your benefit as it was for ours. Finally, we can’t forget Dimitri’s mother for the wonderful food she made for us and to Dimitri’s brother for letting us stay in his guest apartment.  Hope you guys are enjoying your time in Nafpaktos!

Thanks to everyone who read the blog and gave feedback to let us know you were out there.  Carmen, in particular, I think you posted more than we did!

Oh, and to the sea urchin that assaulted me:  thanks for nothing jerk.
