Home Safe

Home safe a few days ago, officially.  We’re getting back into our summer routine now and have a bit of time to catch up.  We still have some things to write about so this won’t be the last post on the blog.We will have links to our Picasa-driven pictures site soon. There are plenty of them but we should have them organized into bite-sized chunks and probably a shorter highlights reel for the normal person who doesn’t need to see a dozen pictures of us with pretty nature-scenes behind us.

We went grocery shopping for the first time yesterday and it was a mix of nice things and disappointments.  Cheese selection, bread quality = disappointing.  Wide aisles, crazy-low prices = nice things.

Overall it’s very good to be home. It was time, but without question the trip was a great length. I developed a rule on the trip that if at any point during the trip there were three consecutive days where sometime during the day you would pay 500 euros to be transported home instantly, then it’s time to come home.  We never hit that threshold; never even came close. Would do it all again in a heartbeat.
